We should cringe...every time one of our rights is taken away from us! We are becoming more and more a Police-run country. The above scenarios are NOT too far away. You may sit there and smile, because you have fought and won round-one of taking away the rights of business owners to allow smoking in their own, establishments. Falsified reports have you believing that the smell of smoke in a well-ventilated restaurant is causing you harm! Not true! This right that we've enjoyed for hundreds of years has wrongly been taken away from us!

Yes, second-hand smoke CAN be dangerous, but in what capacity? If you are exposed, daily, in an enclosed room, or home, over a period of MANY years- you may suffer the effects- But NO ONE will convince me that you will be affected while sitting for a short time, in a WELL VENTILATED establishment, placed separately in a non-smoker's area. Not to mention- you have the right to NOT frequent that establishment! We're talking about taking away the RIGHTS of privately owned restaurants and bars- Shouldn't this, to allow smoking or not, be the decision of the owners? Has free enterprise been taken away now? RE-READ those first cases, above- far fetched? I don't think so. It's coming. First, our cars, privately owned establishments, and you'd better believe your private homes and schools are next!! Soon, all our rights will be UP IN SMOKE!!
